Other Teachers necklace...

This necklace pays homage to our “other teachers”, the teachers from the plant and animal kingdom. Strung on a double strand of knotted and silver-wrapped leather cord, the focal point is a pendant, handcrafted by Allyson from fine silver (99.9% the highest grade). It is imprinted with the vein pattern from a leaf, and overlaid with a coyote track. Coyote is the trickster, the one who teaches in unexpected ways, unpredictable, and always a reminder to not take ourselves too seriously. The clasp is a sterling silver snake, the longtime symbol of gnosis (knowledge). This piece is a reminder that every living thing around us is a teacher, if only we choose to see more deeply and to listen...
