From the Roots Up
From the Roots Up necklace...
Life moves in cycles. Ongoing growth, and the ultimate fruits of one’s labors, all begin with the strength of the roots that are planted. The interlocking rings of the chain are a metaphor for the ongoing cycles of life that are always at play: birth, growth, death, rebirth... The copper coated leaf is a symbol of the fruits of labor, and a reminder to pay attention to building strong roots. The faceted gemstone hanging in front of the leaf is carnelian. Carnelian is a stone associated with vitality and passion. It is a second chakra stone, helping to balance sexual energy, and helping to enhance your creativity, and the underlying creative force. The leaf is from the Poplar family, associated with the phase of “death”, the “letting go/releasing” phase (which can be very gentle if you understand that it’s only one part of the cycle), so important before rebirth is possible. The copper on the leaf is an excellent conductor of energy. The chain and extra large lobster clasp is made of rose colored sterling silver. 18 inches, leaf pendant hangs 2.75 inches
