A Little Bit of Crazy necklace...

In some traditions, the color yellow represents “crazy.” Not the foaming-at-the-mouth, completely-out-of-touch-with-reality kind of crazy; but the kind of crazy that we all need a little bit of. The kind of crazy that helps us take a leap that seems to go against all logical, rational, good sense and forge ahead down unknown roads. Great achievements require great leaps, and we need a bit of crazy for that. The necklace is a mixture leather, silver, and antique African trade beads (circa mid-1800’s).  The leather is hand-knotted, and the chunky etched beads and the large rope-pattern hook and eye clasp are sterling silver. The patterned silver ring in the center, as well as the arrow with spirals hanging from the central ring are both handmade Hill Tribe pieces in fine silver. The yellow antique African trade beads on both sides of the central ring are a reminder to utilize your “craziness” in order to move you bravely and powerfully as you forge new paths, and that powerful direction echoed with the arrow in the center.
